This won't always be the solution though. I've been using Imation disks while using these options. The result, mediacheck still failed. In fact, they would all install correctly on my desktop, but upon reading the disks on my laptop (plug: I'm selling my Thinkpad T30 for 40k), they would always fail. My solution was to change disk brands (Philips now). In fact, I've burned CentOS with the Philips disks, and even though they fail the mediacheck (when I don't bother with padding), they still work for installs. dex _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
