Junix,
Is the xff patch in
http://squid.sourceforge.net/projects.html#follow_xff the same as the
one posted in the dansguardian website? Also, expect the patch to not
apply cleanly on squid version 2.5-stable5 up to the latest version
stable10. You have to apply the rejects manually.
Also, it seems you are using the squid version 3, but you are trying to
apply xff patch for version 2.5.
HTH,
Kenneth

Sorry for the cross post, just incase someone already did this here.
X-Forwarded-For is used to pass the ip address of the client from
squid to the parent cache (like dansguardian) for logs, acl, etc.,

Subject: X-Forwarded-For Patch error in Squid Stable 5 and stable 10
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Im currently having a problems here regarding patching squid with the
xforwarded-for that came from dans site.
Is it because Im trying to patch a Squid-2.5-Stable10 and or
Squid-2.5-Stable5 which is not yet supported and I may have not read
it in dans site?
Or im just making a big mistake somewhere?
Help is highly appreciated.
Below is the error output:
