Not really. Vi people are equally crazy about vi. All the gajillion
variants of it, that is. (vim is usable. nvi and elvis drive me nuts.)

navigation hardwired into their brains...

In comparison, relatively few people are crazy about pico or nano.
Probably because that's not really a programmer's editor... (You'll be
surprised at how many people don't know that the -w switch can turn
off that pesky auto-wrapping.) The few people I know who use pico all
the time seem almost apologetic. ;)

jed and joe seem to be quite popular, though. Not tempted to switch.
Planner is too much fun. =)
