if the number of users and groups are the same, you
can just put the files aquota.users and aquota.group
in the root level of the mounted volume then issue the
command 

# touch /var/aquota.user /var/aquota.group
# chmod 600 /var/aquota.user /var/aquota.group

then run the quotacheck to update the quotas. these
two files hold the information for the limits. hope
this answers your question.
