Solved! While fiddling around system-config-display (CentOS/RHEL) I realized that this is a dual head video card. So, I looked for instructions for the Intel 82852/855GM and found this: http://www.gulic.org/node/378 I can do either LCD or CRT. Not both. I tried Xinerama mode in both true or false.
