True, true. And that's what this list is all about, so that those just
starting on Linux can benefit from the experience of those who have
stumbled a bit before but surely learned from it.

But then again, some people need to experience this stuff themselves,
and they certainly have the right to do so.  What do you say we open
up this topic again probably around 3 years from now.  :)



and with a couple of beers? can we have something like
this on PhilOSC or Linuxworld Conf?

i hope nobody would take this personally but rather an
opportunity to prove themselves better, and it may not
be now.
