Subject: [plug] WRT firmware and NAT
Hi all,
I've heard some broadband providers put you on a bridged network and
give you a number of IPs - like Bayantel offering 4 IP's on a single
shared /24 (I read in tipidpc). Is the hardware capable of supporting
NAT to make full use of these IPs?
what brand is that migs?
The traditional router firmware
only supports one external IP.
migs.. once your device acting as a bridge mode (layer 2)... you can
assigned as many ip addresses as you want.. let the layer 3 on the remote
side do the working :-> furthermore, nat is done on the layer 3 not on the
layer 2 :->
fooler.
