Hi all,
I just downloaded a few episodes of nerdtv from cringely's site
(www.pbs.org/cringely <http://www.pbs.org/cringely>), the latest episode
is with Bill Joy. Linus' episode is scheduled for sometime in November.
the files are mp4, though, and while i can see the videos, i can't hear
any sound in xine, mplayer, vlc, totem all as installed by default on
mandriva 10.2. I installed the latest vlc from plf-free because urpmf
said it had mp4 codecs, but that doesn't give me any sound either.
Has anyone here gotten mp4s (in particular, nerdtv videos) to play sound
in linux? what distribution? did you have to do anything special to
get it working? or did it just work?
