Subject: [pcsindmem] CICC scholarships on Open Source Software/Linux Networking Course and OSS Application Development Course

Dear Fellow PCS Member,

 

We are pleased to announce that the Center of the International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC)  in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI, Japan is now accepting applicants to the following courses:

 

  1. Open Source Software and Linux Networking Course (OSN)
  2. Open Source Software Application Development Course (OSA)

 

This will be held from January 30, 2006 to March 17, 2006 at CICC, Tokyo Japan. Trainees will be accommodated at Tokyo Kenshu Center. Round trip airfare and other allowances will be provided by CICC.

 

For more details, please visit the PCS website at www.pcs-it.org. Application forms are downloadable. Applications should be accompanied with the following:

 

  1. Company Brochure or Explanatory Note

A brochure of note should explain in English activities of the company that an applicant belongs to, and the note should be written on the company letterhead.

 

  1. Copy of Passport (or copy of ID card)

A copy of passport (or a copy of ID card in case an applicant does not possess a passport) should be attached.

 

CICC deems incomplete forms disqualified applications. All required documents should be submitted to the Philippine Computer Society (PCS) not later than October 10, 2005 to give ample time to the PCS Board to review and evaluate all applications before submitting to CICC. PCS is the only CICC counterpart organization in the Philippines with regards to this training.

 

There is no limit on the number of applicants, however, PCS is authorized to recommend to CICC the most qualified applicants. Only one trainee per course will be chosen by CICC.
