Neither did my iSeries 1200, which frustrated me to no end. USB modems that actually work with GNU/Linux are notoriously difficult to find. I've gotten PC Card modems to work on GNU/Linux before, but it's been a long time since I've used one (the last one was a 14.4 kbps model circa 1996). USB-Serial converters have a much better chance, I think. Some of the ones we've bought even have a little penguin on the box. :) -- By their own reckless arrogance they perished: childish fools, They ate the Oxen of the Sun, and lost their hope of Home. http://stormwyrm.blogspot.com/ _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
