Why assume the worst? If the original poster asked which
DSL provider is the most hassle-free for Mac OSX, BSD or the
Hurd, then his question should rightly be considered
off-topic. In the absence of such qualifiers, it's best to
assume good faith on the part of the poster and assume that
the question is related to Linux.

Assuming good faith becomes even more important in a list
where the language being used (English) isn't the first
language of majority of the posters. (I know it isn't mine
because I myself commit far too many grammatical and
stylistic lapses.)

If at all, the thread should have been redirected to
plug-newbies (?) and not the hotbed of irrelevance (which I
enjoy from time to time) known as plug-misc.

I used WiFi access only as an example of a thread topic that
could be considered off-topic on a bad day. Everything appears
to be okay in PLUG-misc.
