Well, ALL programmers maybe lazy BUT
NOT ALL GNU/Linux users are programmers. ;-)

Some people, especially the REAL NEW USERS, are NOT EVEN AWARE
that the world of GNU/Linux requires a lot of changes on the part of the
new recruits, which can be grouped in two categories:
FIRST: system and applications sofware, user interface, etc.
BUT this has been reduced by the advent of Popuplar Cross-Platform
software like OpenOffice.org, Firefox, Azureus, GIMP, etc.
SECOND: frame of mind (remove the limitations), philosophy (share and
help), etc.
* The new system is far more flexible and extensible
* The applications are usually more powerful
* ETCETERA
REAL NEW GNU/Linux users must be advised that there are numerous
PLACES and WAYS to get help. This is VERY DIFFERENT from the
means by which you get help from the Windows world.
This is where PLUG can really intervene to SOFTEN the impact of
change on the REAL NEW recruits.
Remember: They are mostly (if NOT ALL) coming from the Windows world.

How about a WIKI? Do we have one for PLUG? We can put answers there
to the commonly asked questions especially for the REAL NEW USERS.
Then we can CLEARLY instruct (through mailing list subscription) the
NEW USERS to read the WIKI.
At least we can have a locally built knowledge base! ;-)
WE MUST HELP OTHERS HELP THEMSELVES!
THEY MUST LEARN HOW TO LEARN!
