Hi,
I'm trying out an ASUS P5V800-MX. I have a proprietary PCI card. When
I start up, lspci shows the following devices:
1. PCI Bridge #287c - this is the VIA VT8251 PCI-E root device
2. PCI Bridge #287d
3. Class 0403 #3288 - high definition audio controller which we don't need

There is an onboard VIA LAN but it's not in lspci. Is it because this
device is also on the PCI-E bus? Is my PCI card also on the PCI-E bus?

If the PCI-E/PCI bus does not work, how come I have IDE and AGP
(GeForce FX 5200) working?

Most the LGA-775 motherboards are Intel chipsets and we have only
tested the PCI card on the old VIA P4M266. I needed a future-proof
Intel solution thus I went for the ASUS + a LGA775 P4 CPU. We haven't
tried AMD64.
