As the saying goes when it comes to linux, the older the modem the
better. So it's SERIAL modem for me, you'll have more chance to crank
it up on your linux box than a USB modem. I've been trying to run
Conexant based modems in linux but to no avail, the damn company didn't
provide linux drivers. At least there's linuxant but it's not free. :-(
