Steganography might be useful if you really want to hide communication,
but then again, the bandwidth cost of sending lots and lots of odd
images to your correspondents might tick off the authorities.
but you can compose, encrypt, compress your message and rename the file
extension to whatever that is not suspicious to others and file attached to
an email is in unencrypted form which is much better than steganography and
less bandwidth consumption....
