Hi everyone!
Just want to ask for some help with our samba server backup system.
Here's the details and what my boss wants me to do with the server:
1. The server has 3 SATA drives (80GB each)
2. Two(2) drives is for RAID1 or mirroring (i don't have any problems with this)
3. The other one is for full backup of files every OTHER day
4. AND a separate server intended for weekly backup of files
Please don't ask me why the setup is like this.. I know its quite stupid but I have no choice but to follow my bosses.. =D
We encountered a big problem before regarding this..
The question is:
1. How will I do the backup on item Number 3?
What are the commands needed?
I know it has something to do with the crontab, but I don't know the exact commands.
2. Lastly, how would I perform the weekly backup (item number 4)?
Hope you can help me guys. This is the first time doing this type of setup.
