other tasks or you could use older CPUs. You need at least a 2GHz
processor for real-time MPEG encoding (using MythTV) if your card
doesn't have a built-in encoder, but if your card has one, even a
300MHz Pentium-II will do.
I find this hard to believe. MEncoder can encode to MPEG-4 (Xvid) in faster-than-real-time on a PIII-700.
