Putty is the best ssh client for windows machine, try to download it and use it like using a console on your linux box,Just double click the putty icon and type the ip address of your linux box. Once connected you can now do what ever you want like changing smbpasswd of your user, in changing smbpasswd use this cmd and its options, smbpasswd -a username.
