I don't see how a `chmod -R 700 /home/{tom,dick,harry}` _won't_ do the
job, considering that these persons don't have perms to modify each
other's chmods (except perhaps if you've given them some sudo privs,
which you DIDN'T do, right?).  Threaten them with an `rm -rf /home/`
even, and let them see who's the REAL boss.

Also, see if you can grab everyone's personal database and put it into a
central company database that is under YOUR control, and yours alone.
Define user interfaces so these `sales' people (whatever they are,
really) can see what they're supposed to see, but not see each other's
entries so they won't get into another pissing contest.

Of course, that doesn't prevent the fighting altogether, but at least
you can say at the end that it wasn't because of you...

<sarc>Wait, I haven't considered the `romantic' angle yet, if
any... :P</sarc>
