Hi, all,

I attended the morning business meeting, the afternoon sessions with government and the NGOs, and even got invited to lunch, as well.  PLUG was well-represented in the event: Jerome Gotangco, Clair Ching, Zak Elep, Charo Nuguid, and myself were there in the morning; Paolo Falcone and Dong Calmada joined up in the afternoon (though we lost Clair then).

The reason PLUG does not appear in the press releases was because we did not arrange the event and neither were we the only invitees to the visit.  I think we can leave it at that for now.  Let's make the organization a force to be reckoned with first ;-)

As to government advocacy, well, what else did you expect Mark Shuttleworth to say?  That said, I found his views to be quite sensible -- his general approach is cooperation, rather than confrontation.  Very pragmatic, too.

Commissioner Lallana, I think, is doing his best to tread the line in moving government towards open source.  It may not be fast enough for some people, but the effort is there.  Sure it's slow, but remember, this is government we're talking about.  The question is: what are you going to do to make things better?
