good point... let us (tech people) focus on that... and let the
commercial companies work on the central government. :)

 

I definitely agree of working for FOSS adoption at the grassroot levels--at poor local government and community organizations--because they don't have money. Is'nt it good to see that FOSS has contributed to development of these poor communities--at near zero cost? Thats a good case study for people at the central government.

But I guess even with that good case point, people in the central government still choose commercial propriety computers because that i where they can rake in more money to buy those damn votes during elections! This country is so F*****d up!

Btw, LinuxWorld conference this year, I heard has a theme on bringing FOSS to work for grassroots. I am looking forward to joining that this March here in Cebu.
