In my experience Ubuntu 5.04 doesn't have good support for the GMA900 video adapter for the Intel 915 chipset. Haven't tried 5.10 or other distros though...

SuSE and Ubuntu have great laptop support and I have working hibernate/suspend with those models mentioned.
