Me too have been using Puppy Linux lately and overall user experience is good. Mounting/umounting of drives is a click or 2 away, it has 2 package managers and rox filer rocks! Above all its so lean and slick, fast. I'm actually looking at the website for info installing in usb stick. I found it though my problem is the bios. Mine is old and doesnt have any option for usb stick boot.
