Not exactly forever, but close to it :D You could try using forensic tools or employ esoteric techniques like magnetic force microscopy (of which the efficacy of such techniques depend on issues like filesystem structure, the presence of a journal, etc). Then again, unless you REALLY need to recover those files (e.g. to be used in criminal investigations, or your mortal life depends on it so heavily, etc), it's much easier AND CHEAPER to just make a new file. -- Paolo Alexis Falcone [EMAIL PROTECTED]
