have you tried using another broadband router?
try to use another before trying other solutions and screw your head. your router might have a problem.

i had weird problems and they turned out to be on hardware.

then if the problem persists, screw your head once again. :)

    your adsl modem have two interfaces.. the wan side and the lan
    side.. your port forwarding was binded to the wan side of the
    interface.. try to figure it out how to circumvent that by
    consulting your modem's manual...
