Absolutely. Get them addicted to Firefox, Audacity, GAIM, and other
really cool open source applications. Most people don't care about
operating systems as much as they care about applications. =) There
are a couple of great lists of free and open source software available
for Windows. Try https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LoopList .
