good for you, you're now a debianista ;)

i got this error in installing a .rpm file.
error: Failed dependencies:
        libcrypto.so.5 is needed by nx-1.5.0-4.FC4.1.i386
        libstdc++.so.6(GLIBCXX_3.4.4) is needed by nx-1.5.0-4.FC4.1.i386

now i have my *.rpm in /RPMS. they are from the 4cds of rhel4.
how would i know where the dependency is? i've browsed the *.rpm for the two dependencies but i've found none.

how about trying rpmfind.net or simply google for it :)

psssst, there is Debian! hehehe, joke!

yeah go for debian, you wont have that dependency headache (",) or use the apt-get utilities which is also available for rh based distros
