It's using CDMA technology (instead of GSM) with 1xrtt (counterpart ng GPRS). I don't know about coverage though -- in Manila, signal is only within 5Km of Digitel's Pasig HO. I haven't tested it though. Sayang at wala pa silang EVDO (the '3G' of CDMA).
Broadband Philippines offers a similar service, and they have EVDO (for their Airnet brand).
