hi!

this is my first ubuntu 5.10 install, found it bloddy (so to speak) but
fulfilling, and frustrating.. :-)

im trying to run apt-get update. but im getting this:

im on a lan, already edited the ./~bashrc to specify my proxy server and
port.

basing on the above errors, i tried to download
http://ph.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/breezy-updates/restricted/binary-i386/Packages.gz
on my browser, download was fine. so it's not blocked

any tips how to get thru?

id like to install some apps, frustrating indeed.. :-)

help pls?
