That means you don't have the libstdc++5 package installed. That also means that you got the non-Debian prebuilt binary of TBird, and you will probably have problems with that since the library dependencies will almost always be unmet (Debian/Ubuntu now prefers to have packages built on libstdc++6, btw.) If you still can't get the apps from APT, then your last resort would be to build those apps from source. Then again, you will still need those library deps to be met first...
