You are absolutely correct, Ka Danny. CHITS software is GPL'd and so is not in
the public domain.
However, the Health Services provided by the Pasay City Health Center using
CHITS are in the public domain (how do you copyright health services? <grin>)
and so the statement on the website is valid (notice it refers to the whole
health system and not just the software).
Actually, palusot lang to so we don't have to redo the web page!
Dr. Herman Tolentino is the original architect and programmer of CHITS, Dr.
Alvin Marcelo took over the project when Dr. Tolentino left for the US. Other
contributions were made by Prof. Ariel Betan, Mr. Marvin Yoingco, Mr. Alison
Perez and yours truly. Of course, none of this would have been possible without
the Doctors, nurses, midwives and health workers of the Lagrosa and Malibay
Health Centers in Pasay City, who patiently participated in the development and
use of the software.

Mabuhay ang Malayang Software!
