thanks so much for the link you have given me.. Actually I went to a certain reseller of IBM here in Pasig a while ago prior reading your post, I tried myself the IBMx206, I have with me my installer of FC3 and FC4. so first the configuration of embedded hardware raid went well using the IBM Raid CD BTW I configured it to be a RAID1, it took my an hour i think to wait for the 2x 160 GB SATA to sync. after that I fired up the Fedora Core installation, FC detects no hard disk so it simply means it doesn't support the sata host raid controller of the machine but when i try FC4 it actually detects the 2 disk but not the configured RAID1 so im confused till one of the IBM tech pissed me off coz he give me a brand new sealed fresh from the oven Windows2003 server with the price?( told me " try this " this will probabl work --oh man how was that!!)well I just told them that I will just go to my clone type machine and do software RAID..hehehe.. I know RHEL3 is server proven according to IBM website but my company is tight on budget. anyways thanks for the link I will work on this..
