Which Windows Manager and Desktop Environment are you suggesting? I'd like to check out
XFCE but I am reluctant coz I'm afraid I might mess up my current setup. They said it eats less
Resources compared to Gnome and KDE.
Dont worry about installing XFCE (sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop). It won't mess anything. Promise!
