If you are looking to suspend to RAM edit your
/etc/default/acpi-support and remove the comment before
ACPI_SLEEP=true the save.

Are you able to do the following?

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo /etc/acpi/sleep.sh
(which will have your unit to suspend to ram)

or

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh
(which will to suspend to disk)

If those things work for you, then your unit works, but needs some
love on the keybindings
