does your /var/users have the file index.php?

AFAIK feeding /index.php to AliasMatch   (/?[a-zA-Z0-9].*$)   /var/users/$1 will look for index.php on /var/users just as feeding /user1 wherein /user1 exist on /var/users

Have try it already but still it dont give me what i need.

AliasMatch   (/?[a-zA-Z0-9].*$)   /var/users/$1

if i point my browser to http://localhost/user1 it is ok  but when i
point my browser http://localhost/index.php it gives an errror file not
found.

any more ideas?
