i have 2 subnets 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24. i have two machines 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1 that has two interface with one of the interface connecting them. i gave the second interface 192.168.3.1 and 192.168.3.2, respectively. 192.168.1.1 has a samba server. i have setup nat on the servers using iptables to give access to other machines on one subnet to access another. other services seemed to worked fine but im having problems with samba. i get a "The specified network name is no longer available" when i try to access \\192.168.1.1 from a windows machine lets say with an ip of 192.168.2.1. any comments on making this work? will samba work over a nat? is there another solution except nat? i want to maintain the 2 subnets but all cross-subnet access should pass on the two servers which i refer to as tunnel.

thanks.
