If you are using mbox (sendmail default) go to /var/spool/mail
then as root(sudo) run "mail -f <mailbox>"

I'm sorry my reply was incomplete. After running "mail -f <mailbox>," you can use the following commands to manipulate your mail.
1. h - for displaying headers
ex. this displays messages from the top.
&h1
2. d - for deleting messages
ex. this deletes messages 1 to 20
&d1-20
3. q - quit
4. ? - for more options
