Hi all, not sure if attachments are allowed here, so the links to the screenshots are on flickr:

Sometimes, some icons get squashed to the center (as in the icons_wrong_position2 image), although as I type now, those center squashed icons are squashed to the left now. Has anyone seen this? anyone know of a solution? XFDrake thinks that there's an S3 86C368 (Trio 3D/2X) there. Problem exists with that video card. I switched to VESA. Problem still exists. all the software on this box is up to date. The problem seems to be more of a GTK issue. There are minor icon issues with KDE apps, but no left squashing. It's no big deal, I can still work on this box. Moving the mouse over the toolbar puts the icons back where they're supposed to be (although there's a weird artifact where, if i move the mouse over the icons from left to right, the icons will move to the right places, but if i move the mouse from right to left, the icons disappear (except the leftmost icon, which stays in place). Any pointers appreciated. I could reinstall, and mess around with the video, but I think i'll listen to community wisdom before groveling in the configs. Thanks a lot. tiger -- Gerald Timothy Quimpo [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://bopolissimus.blogspot.com http://monotremetech.blogspot.com Public Key: "gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 672F4C78" We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered. -- Tom Stoppard _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
