thanks jepoy, we probably need bgp since we will be acquiring 2 or
more isps for redundancy. right now we have an e1 on v.35 with linux.
atm we are considering to get another e1 or 10mbps ethernet for
redundancy. im planning to use bird or zebra.

regarding the use of private asn to 2 isps, do you think we need a
portable ip or puwede na yung ISP-assigned mismo? for flexibility and
longterm operation what do you suggest?

hi edel,
it depends really on your requirements. Do you really need public ip add that much? I mean you'll be acquiring at least 2048 ip address's, thats a lot =) considering if you are not an ISP hehe... you can ask your provider if they can lend you some of their unused ip address blocks.  If you're  really planning to multihome to  different  isp in the future better to register an ASN and then just ask the providers if they can lend you some ip blocks.
