Hello, JericoFlor!

I'm also a newbie. I've found MEPIS Linux an excellent choice for beginners. If you can go to a bookstore and look for any LinuxFormat magazine, I suggest you pick up the May issue. It has a free DVD, and on it are MEPIS 3.4 and Gentoo. MEPIS is a live CD, meaning you can just pop it into your CD drive and turn your PC on. It will run Linux, without changing your current PC setup or erase you Windoze installation. Then, if you like what you see, just click on the "Install Me" icon and off you go!

Note, however, that depending on your PC specs, the live CD will feel sluggish. Once you install it, however, MEPIS Linux will fly!

Other easy Linux distros for beginners are Ubuntu, PCLinux and Mandriva. Heck, you may even to try our homegrown distro, Bayanihan Linux!

Hmm. maybe using jetty would have been better at 600+KB and the Bluetooth
JSR has been widely used to connect with BT servers like the ones embedded
on printers for wireless printing.

Try contacting this person:

Rage Cornago . His company gave my client a VERY NICE
dual-Opteron system (PCI-Express ports, SiL SATA RAID, guaranteed all
Linux-compatible hardware) at a very affordable price! With very good
technical support too!

You'd have a very tough time with this (I know I had :)

I apologize for spamming the list (by giving unsolicited "promotion" about my
contact).

Cat's out of the bag... Oh well :)

Any chance of getting a Silicon Image chip on a consumer motherboard?

That is much better, put DB on seperate servers and run app servers, say
websphere, in VM.

BTW has anyone here has used JFS for database? Thus it has support for
concurrent i/o?
