That is much better, put DB on seperate servers and run app servers, say
websphere, in VM.
any resources (eg. cpu, network i/o, ram, etc) that are being shared by VMs
will not perform well versus to standalone machine (of course)...
BTW has anyone here has used JFS for database? Thus it has support for
concurrent i/o?
enhanced jfs also known as JFS2 has a new filesystem feature called
concurrent i/o (CIO)...
