Did you verify the MySQl package before installing it first? This could be
an inconsistent/corrupted package. Just a hinch.

Hello guys,

I have this mysql-standard-5.0.22-linux-i686 and
installed it, but i got a pain in the neck error which
bottomlines to "..'mysql.host' doesn't exist" 

the error excerpt in 'Hostname.err' is pasted below..

060607 22:26:51 [ERROR] Fatal error: Can't open and
lock privilege tables: Table 'mysql.host' doesn't
exist

How can i able to fixed this guys?have tried googling
it already but not found fixed solutions yet.
