Using mac address may be unreliable since i have a "grey unit" that doesnt have mac address it just shows all "0000::0000:00..." then i have to specify it a unique mac address but leaving it as is also works since im the only unit this "buggy?" card. How weird is that?

If we use wrt54g, can we block yahoo messenger? Until now I haven't found a way to block yahoo messenger using the stock firmware as well as the dd-wrt firmware. A friend used to work for a small company that has 80 active users and
using the linksys wrt54g as nat/router/dhcp server. It's a mix of wireless
and wired connections. To think that at that time, it uses the stock linksys
firmware!
As for the original poster, no iptables necessary if you want to use WRT54G.
The dhcpd daemon can do Static DHCP leases ip address to a specific
MAC address. Well, personally verified for DD-WRT. stock linksys
firmware, I'm not sure.
