Thanks for the compliment. However, reaching a FOSS state of development is
quite a challenge for a complex open-source project like this and CHITS
still needs more brain power. The Pinoy brand of FOSS in CHITS has been
spreading around with plans for deployment in the US, India and the Pacific
Island Countries. I am giving another talk about CHITS to a group working in
Africa a few weeks from now.

Great project! This is an example of a good FOSS application :-)

You can use those old PCs or you can get a WRT54G router from Linksys and
slap an openwrt firmware in it.
You get a router with a smaller operating/maintainance cost, and still run
linux.
Just an option to consider.

what's the content of your /etc/sysconfig/network ?
that is where the gateway should be encoded.
kindly post the config files involved, so that others
can review it.

Mabuhay Pluggers!
I have an FTP server (VsFTP) that has mounted Windows shared folder. I have
been experiencing this error when trying to download a file from the mounted
folder:
226 Directory send OK.
ftp> get firewall.odt
local: firewall.odt remote: firewall.odt
227 Entering Passive Mode (10,10,5,138,169,223)
150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for firewall.odt (22532 bytes).
426 Failure writing network stream.
I tried downloading a file from the Linux folder and I can get it just fine.
Uploads to the Windows folder and Linux folder are working too.
ftp> put firewall.odt
local: firewall.odt remote: firewall.odt
227 Entering Passive Mode (10,10,5,138,102,36)
150 Ok to send data.
######################
226 File receive OK.
22532 bytes sent in 0.00039 seconds (5.7e+04 Kbytes/s)
What could be the problem?
The command I issued when I mounted the Windows share is this:
mount -t cifs //10.10.10.2/Data /windows -o
rw,domain=microimageph,username=rai,password=rai
I can mount the folder fine and I can access locally the mounted folder but
it is not working when I try to download the file using FTP.
I used CIFS because the other server is a Windows 2003 Server and smbfs is
not working with Win2K3.
I found on the net that I should load the kernel modules ip_conntrack_ftp
and ip_nat_ftp but it is still not working.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
