It is legal. Once you try to sell it then it becomes an issue from "fair
use"
to "piracy".
You don't even have to *sell* the CD copies -- distribution, even if
free, to other people, is a violation of copyright law. You know about
those wedding give-aways of CDs full of cheesy music? Strictly
speaking, that re-distribution is illegal.
