Hi Eri,

Thanks for the answer. I think I found a good answer here:
http://www.suseforums.net/lofiversion/index.php/t13088.html

Another question, is it possible for the same partition to have
different mount point names in different distros? To illustrate:

Partition ---- SUSE 9.3 ---- Ubuntu
/dev/hda2 --- /boot --- /suseboot
/dev/hda4 --- /home --- /susehome

Thanks in advance for your answers/comments/suggestions.

Best regards,
Allister

Hi Allister,

I'm no guru but bottom line with dual-boot is you have to plan *ahead* your
partition details and everything before you proceed with installation. Since
you have XP and Suse already, it is likely you're using the boot manager of
Suse to switch systems. Now if you dont want to mess that during the ubuntu
install just choose the option (during ubuntu install) to put the boot loader
in the floppy. I think this is your best shot to preserve your system. Pag
gusto mo ubuntu saksak mo lang ang floppy drive at setup mo bios mo magboot sa
floppy drive tapos! Pag ayaw mo na di balik sa dating gawi, boot as normal.
Sounds simple right? Goodluck :-)

p.s.
I'm just recalling what i did few years back. Now i dont dual boot anymore.
Andyan na mga live cd's kasi. They make you lazy.
