Hello everyone, I'm currently evaluating a CMS solution to roll out in my office, a non-profit organization. Currently, People are working with Microsoft excel, outlook, word, etc and you can imagine how many times information is often outdated and badly handled with this type of infrastructure. Not to mention, as I'm sure most of you know, it's hard to wean people off the MSOffice mindset and teach people a new way of doing things.
I'm currently looking at Plone, WebGui, Joomla and Drupal, basically because users will just need to go through a wysiwyg interface, with security permissions, and can handle different types of databases, and can be extended with modules. I'm also evaluating in terms of usability especially for users and admins alike. I'd do it myself, but this would be a good opportunity to show my office, especially the admin side, that FOSS is a viable solution for Non-profits and that some business models using as FOSS software uses is a good idea. Heck, it's a no brainer! Can anyone offer advice on companies who offer software solutions or individuals who can help me with this? The contacts that I have usually recommend Microsoft exchange, netmeeting, proprietary solutions, which, of course, I am adverse to. Just contact me my yahoo email or through my email:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks! - JJ ferro __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
