We are not judging you. I think we can set pride aside for a while.
I know how it feels like as i have experienced the same thing several
times in a row. Thanks to an account named secret with "secret" as
password. And reacting to the breakin in a very naive way like yanking
the hard disks out and replacing them with a backup. Of cousre the guy
was back less than an hour!
