Hi guys,
Any one tried a stable system for imaging the whole machine and restoring it
in case of failure ?
i'm using dump/restore on our 64 bit RHEL4 systems. but these are not
yet in production.
LVM backups are done using snapshots (for consistency) and then dump
is ran to backup these snapshot volumes on an NFS mounted FS (staging)
where we then backup to tape.
backup of our AIX prod filesystems (on EMC disks) is done via
ArcServe (commercial)
thanks.
