How about just viewing the screen? Can this be done automatically where when a user logs on, I can remotely view their screen?

FreeNX is not what you want to access :0.  FreeNX provides you
with a network optimized X session on a *new* display.  You can
still access :0 via x11vnc using a freenx client using the vnc protocol
though.
